The Project EVEREST SOURCE TO SEA 2016
La prima discesa in kayak completo dal campo base dell’Everest fino all’Oceano. Dal campo base dell’Everest ( 5500m ) fino a Calcutta ( Oceano Indiano) . Da Kathmandu voleremo a Lukla . Da qui , per raggiungere il campo base dell’Everest , faremo trekking per 7 giorni per poi iniziare la discesa. La prima parte , circa 300 km , sarà discesa con creek kayak; i restanti 900 km saranno discesi con kayak da mare. Il 2016 sarà il 30 ° anniversario della prima spedizione in kayak sul fiume Everest . Un grande gruppo inglese di 6 person, guidato da Mike Jones ha tentato di eseguire il Dudh Kosi . Leo Dickinson ha prodotto uno straordinario documentario su questa spedizione . Solo pochi altri canoisti hanno cercato di pagaiare queste sezioni e ad fino ad oggi nessuno ha fatto una discesa completa dalla sorgente al mare !

The Project EVEREST SOURCE TO SEA 2016
First complete kayak descent from Everest Base Camp till the Ocean. From the Everest base camp (5500m) till Calcutta (Indian Ocean). From Kathmandu we will fly to Lukla. From here, to reach the Everest base camp, a 7 days trekking will follow. The first part, about 300 km, will be run with creek kayak; the remaining 900 km will be affronted in a sea kayak. 2016 will be the 30th anniversary of the first kayak expedition on the Everest river. A big English group of 6 people, guided by Mike Jones tried to run the Dudh Kosi. They managed to paddle some of the rapids and Leo Dickinson produced an extraordinary documentary about this expedition. Only few other paddler tried to paddle these sections and until now nobody made a full descent from source to sea!
